Curriculum/I.C.T.
| Information Communication Technology is at the hub of learning in the 21st Century. You will find “state of the art” computers across the school running modern software. Alongside these are scanners, laser printers as well as digital cameras and interactive whiteboards. | |
| You will take a full 3 year course of ICT lessons which will develop your ICT capabilities to a very high level. You will be able to complete ICT homework by logging onto our new Virtual Learning Environment. This will give you practice in using new ICT skills and provide immediate feedback on your progress. This system can be accessed at home via the internet or after school in the HUB. You will be able to store all your ICT work on a central server and then access it from any school computer - and from home if you have a computer. You will also be able use the Library computers to complete work during breaks, lunch times and after school. The school is fully connected to the Internet allowing you to search and retrieve relevant and up to date material to support your learning. This system is fully monitored allowing safe and controlled access. Everyone will be shown how to access the Internet and then you will sign and adhere to the schools Internet policy of safe usage. | |
